Many volunteers donate time and energy to our program. Many people contribute financially. We value all contributions! Here are some recent examples of how financial gifts are deployed at Samohi Theatre:

A new portable spotlight for use in our Humanities Center Theatre

A long-term license for technical theatre software to help students design and run lighting, sound, and projections for a variety of productions

Ensuring all students involved in the cast, crew, or pit orchestra of any program are provided with a show t-shirt, even if they are unable to purchase one

Ensuring all students involved in extracurricular programs are provided with a nutritious meal during the demanding "tech" and dress rehearsals leading up to shows

Supplemental coaching for our award-winning teams competing at the Drama Teachers Association of Southern California (DTASC) Shakespeare Festival

SAMOHI THEATRE operates through the Santa Monica Arts Parents Association, a registered 501c3 non-profit organization.

to create opportunities for Samohi students to collaborate in the classroom, on stage and behind the scenes of every production.

Volunteers
We are a fun group of parents that work in the wings year round, supporting our director, Kate Barraza, our actors, and productions. We need set designers, set builders, film editors, videographers, make-up artists, costume support, and so much more.
