SAMOHI THEATRE

The Humanities Center Theatre is an intimate, 200 seat, flex, black box, multi-use space, located on the second floor in the English Building on the Santa Monica High School campus. It currently is the location for all of the theatre and film classes taught at the high school. The space has been used for the many dramatic productions the high school presents in the fall, as well as musical rehearsals, student written and directed scenes, Public Domain, Shakespeare Showcase, and many other student productions.

Barnum Hall is a historic theater with seating for 1,250 with 750 downstairs in the orchestra and 500 on the second level mezzanine and balcony. Features include a hydraulic orchestra lift, complete fly system with full drapes & scrim, full and adjustable Wenger Orchestra Shell, stage level loading dock, full lighting and sound equipment operated from back of house booth, screening potential with front and rear projection screen., Fazioli 9 foot Concert Grand Piano and 6 foot Steinway B Concert Grand, restored 1922 Wurlitzer Theater Pipe Organ.
