Samohi Theatre is excited to present the 2024 edition of “Public Domain”, a variety show extravaganza featuring SAMOHI students. Shows are scheduled for May 30, 31 and June 1 with two shows each night, one at 5p.m. and a completely different line up at 8p.m. 

 

Reserved seating in the Humanities Center 

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. 

 

Public Domain is a student produced variety show featuring theatre, dance, music or musical theatre performances, but may include stand-up comedy, magic or something completely new.  Many of the students opt to perform a song, or take a scene from a favorite play in the public domain or even adapt a film or television show, while others write their own piece to perform. Student committee heads select the acts to include based on audition criteria while balancing the shows with a mix of performance types. Student directors select material, cast, lead their own rehearsals and prepare everything required like costumes and props.

 

Each show runs approximately 2 hours and there are 2 completely different lineups for each show - come see both!
