SPRING MUSICAL - “Hello, Dolly!” 2025-26 CAST AUDITION INFORMATION
AUDITION INFORMATION
Audition dates: December 1-5. Unless you are “dance only”, students auditioning must attend an acting/vocal audition on either Tuesday or Wednesday; all students must attend the dance audition on Thursday.
NOTE: all information and links to forms are found below and will also be linked on the samohichoir.org website.
ALL students must complete the Audition Information Form (including dance only) Audition Form HERE to audition – no exceptions!! - Once this completed form has been submitted, you will be able to access the audition sign-up.
Mon. & Tue., Nov. 24 and 25: Choreography Workshops 3:45-4:45pm, Location TBD The same audition choreography will be taught at each of the workshops. Attendance at one of these workshops is NOT mandatory but highly encouraged. Dolly will have a lot of dance numbers and we want to see what you can do after taking the time to learn the choreography. All students must attend the dance audition on 12/4. Choreography will only be taught at these two dance workshops.
Mon., Dec 1: Choreography Workshop with the choreographer, 3:45pm-5:30pm. Our choreographer will be working with students to improve and tighten up their dance skills prior to the dance audition on Thursday.
Tue. & Wed., Dec. 2 and 3: Acting/Vocal Auditions, Choir Room – 3:30-8:30pm. Students must sign-up for one-45 minute session. 15 students will attend each session and must stay the entire time. Students must memorize their vocal and monologue auditions.
Thu., Dec 4: Dance Auditions, Location TBD - ALL STUDENTS MUST ATTEND. 3:00-5:30pm. Come prepared to move in comfortable clothing. You will be performing the choreography taught at the dance workshops on 11/24 or 11/25 and perfected, not taught on 12/1. Additionally, some students may be asked to learn additional combinations at the auditions to further explore their skills.
Fri., Dec 5: Possible callbacks. Callbacks may be used to gather additional information about each performer. Students may be given a vocal range test, a cold reading, and or a short dance combination to learn and perform. Call backs should not be seen as a promise of any particular role or of being cast.

TIME COMMITMENT INFORMATION
** in auditioning for the show you are committing to be available on the dates/times listed below. Any conflicts MUST be listed on the required audition form prior to auditioning.
Rehearsal Dates/Times: Rehearsals for the musical will be on the following days and times: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri. from immediately after school to 6:00 pm starting 12/8/25. Not all cast will be called for every practice. Practices may end at different times for different people.

Additional NON-SCHOOL DAY PRACTICES are scheduled for 1/5 (from 12-3:30pm), Monday 1/19 from 9-3:00 pm, Saturday 2/14 (Valentines Day 9-4:00pm) and Monday 2/16 (President's Day) from 10-4:00 pm.
Musical Tech practices start 2/9/26. ALL CAST is called for EVERY TECH practice - practice end times are indicated after date. Tech practices are 2/9 (6:30), 2/10 (6:30), 2/11 (6:30), 2/12 (6:30), 2/13 (8:30), 2/14 (Valentines Day Special Rehearsal 9-4:00pm), 2/16 (Presidents Day Special Rehearsal 10-4:00pm) 2/17 (8:30), 2/18 (8:30), 2/19 (8:30), 2/20 (9:30), 2/23 (9:30), 2/24 (9:30), 2/25 (9:30), 2/26 (9:30). Performance dates are 2/27, 2/28, 3/1, 3/6, 3/7, 3/8. Students are expected to be at ALL tech rehearsals and performances. Students MUST indicate any schedule conflicts on the required google form – [HERE]. Efforts will be made to accommodate identified conflicts - but they must be identified prior to audition!

Performance Dates: 2/27, 2/28, at 7:00pm and 3/1 at 3:00 pm, 3/6, 3/7 at 7:00 pm, 3/8 at 3:00 pm, in Barnum Hall. Cast and Tech students must be available for all performances, no exceptions.
*Please look closely at the rehearsal schedule before auditioning. It’s important that you are certain that you can make a full commitment to this production before going through the audition process.
